Less than ideal!

Pros

When the market is good, Alquemy can be a decent place to be. Their recruiters are primarily off-shore and the core delivery team has some good leadership - the Delivery Manager is great and some clients are decent. Processes are not required to be followed which might be appealing to those who don't like to follow process or be held accountable. Great home for off-shore recruiters but less so for Canadian based recruiters. They are a remote first culture which was a positive.

Cons

When the market got tough it quickly became a very toxic environment. There is one senior leader who everyone agrees is VERY difficult to work with and if they take a disliking to you (ie. if you are competent, have an opinion) they will make your life very difficult, hoping that you'll leave so they never have to pay severance. Reporting is inconsistent and often inaccurate (double check your commission reports!) Very small sales team and the focus on signing MSA's (regardless of whether it's a decent client or not) leads me to believe they are just positioning themselves to sell.

Pros

None, avoid at all costs

Cons

In my opinion, the company is a terrible place to work, they yell at employees, gaslight them and make you feel awful. The company is full of big personalities that make your daily life a living heck This isnt a place where a recruiter can make money. Run away from them.
