      Pros

      Good work life balance, exciting opportunities and new challenges through out my time at Ambit Energy. Learned more in 1 year at Ambit than 4 years at bigger, more established organizations. Leadership is always looking at ways to improve and create a working environment that promotes an entrepreneurial spirit. Be ready! Things are fasts paced but fun!

      Cons

      Downtown location means too much traffic on the commute unless you're taking the DART. Occasionally change in direction can impact velocity, but flexibility is a must.

      Poorly run IT department with ageing infrastructure and myraid technical and management issues.

      Highly political, very dissastisfying career and basically a mistake to join the IT dept of this company.

      Pros

      No Offshore, all in-house is the only Pro the company has but to compensate this, there are plenty of things that go on in IT that you don't want to know.

      Cons

      All companies have some politics but this company has gone way beyond expectation. The people who hangs out with the senior management without any skills to offer are the one's who are normally promoted and kept in the company. Unfortunately, the company is tied up with personal relations that can harm the business/revenue if they let go some of the most important culprits of the company who are playing extreme politics and making the company a bad place to work for IT.
