The owner of the company is very demanding yet is inconsistent with what he asks of employees. Concerns range from ambiguity in scheduling to fluxuation in how rentals are done (i.e., who qualifies to rent and pricing). Commission is withheld until the end of the following month for active employees only. The owner is too involved in day-to-day operations (even when not local). He expects full details from employees about the daily happenings and multiple check-ins throughout the work day, even when employees are busy assisting customers. The owner is slow to hear employees out yet will resort to disrespect quickly; especially if they do not just accept whatever he says as law. When asked about scheduling, the owner and operations manager of the company left their reply at "we will let you know" for several weeks and did not have the courage to fire me. Leadership can be authoritative and will withhold commission if an employee is inactive although commission payouts happen one month after the end of a month in which it is earned. The job is unstable and possesses a high turnover rate. Employees may be asked to do things outside of their skillset and job description (e.g., we were being instructed to power wash engines while certified mechanics on staff were in disagreement) Company is not adequately structured to provide a proper protocol for handling business and/or issues. Many of the statements to present the allure of opportunities for growth are a facade; therefore, there is low integrity.

Micromanaging, little to no business due to prices being so high, don’t like employees to have two days off in a row, they give you your schedule the Saturday before your next work week so you never know if you can plan something outside of your work schedule
