Pros

Pay and benefits Mostly good people

Cons

The talk of great, meaningful culture sucks in good people and then tears them down to where they are too scared to leave. Outward looking culture seems great but it’s mostly lies, including many product claims. The lack of product transparency, organization, and general knowledge of tech processes has an impact on mental health and creates major imposter syndrome for when moving on to a REAL tech company. You will not grow here, you will regress in your skill and confidence. Stay away.

We are sorry that Amesite was not an exemplary experience for you. It is important to us that our employees feel comfortable notifying their managers or HR if something is affecting their work so that we can address issues immediately. At Amesite, we want all of our teammates to be successful and to grow professionally. We like to promote and offer opportunities to develop new skills and take on new challenges. We know that imposter syndrome is real for people, especially for innovators, and do our best to highlight successes by teams and individuals so that they can grow with confidence. We were fortunate during the pandemic to quickly pivot to remote work, we didn’t experience layoffs as many employers did, and we continued with hiring in key functions and growing our team. We truly appreciate all of the hard work that has gone into building great products and services. We expect over time to get the team together for team-building activities once it’s safe to travel. Culture matters at Amesite. We are passionate about our culture because we believe it is essential to attract great colleagues, build amazing products, and overcome all of the challenges we face.

Pros

As many others have said remote.

Cons

-Ann Marie is the problem here (along with HR). The treatment of employees is brutal. -Turnover is incredibly high here. They hire and fire like they're changing clothes. -They like to act like Amesite is doing well and that there aren't any issues but employees can see straight through that. The company is failing and me, along with most other I talk to here are actively looking to leave.

At Amesite, 100% of our non-executive employees who have been on staff for more than 6 months have been promoted. We deliver feedback quickly and transparently to make sure our team members can achieve more. We are very focused on making sure that the people on the team are able to grow and be successful. We wish the best for the people who turn out not to be a fit in our high-performance culture.

Pros

Working from home was super convenient

Cons

The CEO was demanding and unreasonable. When I was offered a salary position (move up from hourly), it was actually less than what I was making per hour. Then HR was offended and refused to talk with me for weeks. It was very stressful.
