Pros

Manufactures medical devices used in the treatment of cancer which helps to save lives.

Cons

1. Senior leadership is made up of family members which limits the extent that new blood and talent can influence decisions. 2. Annual reviews/pay increases are not given every 12 months which affects employee morale. 3. Quarterly bonuses are not tied directly to an individual's performance, but rather the performance of the plant as it relates to the level of scrap. For those employees working outside of the plant, this is a great de-motivator as their own performance may have exceeded expectations but they are "dinged" for the performance of a group of people outside of their control. 3. It's not a very welcoming environment. Senior leadership and a few others do not go out of their way to welcome you into the organization or investigate what is needed to ensure success. It's not uncommon to have the owner and his wife walk past you and ignore you completely. 4. The work environment is a campus of trailers/mobile homes most which are old and in need of updated desks, etc. This may change when a permanent building is built but the start date for building the new structure keeps getting delayed.

Pros

Great innovative staff that works extremely hard to improve and grow. Manufacturing has greatly improved in the year I was there. They are really making an effort to make better processing choices. Genuinely seem to care about the well being of their staff personally for the most part. Production staff is fantastic, some of the hardest working people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Plant manager really is trying to make changes and it shows; definitely moving in a positive direction there. A lot of young and talented engineers that need mentors that can show them the right way. Great opportunities for training available.

Cons

Management style is autocratic and there is a bit of micromanaging... which may be ok for some people but it was not something I was use to or respond well to. Unilateral decision making is demotivating to staff members... Criticism of current project management procedures and SOPs is not well received. Hard working individuals not given the respect they deserve but that is in line with the directive autocratic management method that abounds in engineering and in other departments. I've noticed that some of the more "colorful" previous reviews have been removed.. not surprised considering how well criticism is taken there. Working conditions are sub par... no frills and getting basic needs fulfilled is challenging. Benefits need a great improvement, not even remotely competitive with today's market.

Pros

There are a lot of great people to work with, Possibility of learning IF you get a decent trainer, Possibility to learn other departments

Cons

Buildings are filthy, not climate controlled, and are not functional; raises are very poor, you only get a yearly raise and its not merit or review based; there is no opportunity for advancement; management is not supportive and are very sneaky with decisions; new bonus system is a joke since "everyone gets the same payout" everyone is penalized for other departments screw ups; employee well being is not something that management cares about as long as product is being pushed out of the doors; there is no set Quality Standard; GMP is nonexistent; trainings are hard to come by; due to the lack of management that is actually on the floor, some employees are allowed to get away with doing little or no work at all and there is a lot of tension between departments/shifts; during winter and summer, be prepared to either freeze or suffer from heat exhaustion and dehydration; the facility isn't on a sewer line so the sewage has to get pumped out and the smell makes you sick since it is done right outside of on of the main buildings, yes I said buildings but they are actually 3 pole barns, 3 trailers, and 1 house
