Pros

- The team at Aomalie are the only thing that help you make it day to day. Amazing, highly motivated, and smart people you’ll bond with as you try to survive this place together. - Great mission- helping brides find wedding dresses can feel super rewarding.

Cons

- Management lacks the ability to set clear goals or expectations for anyone. Anomalie Cofounders and CXO are out-of-touch, and this frequently leaves teams scrambling to pick up the pieces of messes they didn’t create. The lack of trust in the team's ability to manage relationships and work coupled with micromanagement and direct interference leads to a reactionary environment that disempowers the team. - Cofounder Calley makes this place unbearable. He’s toxic, he bullies people, and he berates employees. He also leaves fake 5 star reviews on this website. - There is no plan in any area, and if making data-driven decisions is important to you, this is not the place to work. - Unhealthy work/life balance is baked into the culture - No HR, very few paid holidays, no 401k. -There are a slew of other difficulties, but most tie back to the general theme that the executive leaders think themselves functional experts and will override/belittle people's expertise.

Management makes the environment toxic

Pros

Nice coworkers. Nice office location.

Cons

Management is super inexperienced and don't really care about the people that work for them. Professionals with years of experience are frequently and aggressively yelled at as if they were teenagers working at McDonalds. Those that don't leave from being fed up are regularly and inexplicably fired between 6-12 months. If you're interviewing, find out how long people have worked there and you'll hear mostly less than a year. Find out about past product managers, engineers, and stylists - ask why they're no longer with the company. Plain and simple its a toxic environment.

Toxic Leadership Alert!

Pros

You'll come out of this with some friends for life (if you survive the beating of your spirit).

Cons

The whole company is a smoke and mirrors show. The founders are manipulative, lack empathy, and are starring in their own scripted reality show, "How to look like a successful Harvard business grad/founder." If you don't fall in line with management, then you're a basically persona non grata. Just look at how many talented hires have come and gone in 6 - 12 months. Numbers don't lie. Run as fast as you can.
