Lower end of pay scale. Some centre managers are inexperienced leading to teacher experiences differing wildly from location to location. Centres located outside Hanoi or HCMC are often ignored by upper management.

Could pay a little more to more experienced teachers, no consecutive days off, as a rule, and short holidays.

I had an excellent, compassionate Center Manager and there was a clear focus on educational development. I had an interview for an internal assignment with head management. One of them was very professional and friendly while the other had laughed at me when I was being interviewed. I was surprised that he would do something so unprofessional in an interview. It damaged my confidence and motivation to work for Apollo English any longer.

The salary and the amount of admin work

- Increasing marketing demands, keeping students happy is more important than having meaningful lessons or keeping teacher content with the company. - Numbers and numbers. - 11.5 month contract for some reason. - High turnover, people get promoted but question if it's worth it after a short while. - You used to get in Apollo for professional development, not for the salary. - There's soft nativism going on; academic managers care about how good teacher you are, but the center managers run the center and they will care if you are native or not. - Basically, current Apollo is nothing special; little bit more organized than your basic language center but doesn't actually live up to it's size or name.

Business-oriented, Managerial staff lacks experience and isn't supposed to be taking those roles. Not a lot of professional development after 2 years. No growth other than becoming a manager yourself.
