Pros

- The original leadership is strong, hold to company values and are approachable - Flat company structure - Strong product in the EA space

Cons

- Overall company performance has dipped heavily due to new leaders coming in and implementing unsuccessful strategies and the company has been subject to two rounds of layoffs in less than 18 months. - New leaders, in the marketing team, has been subject to a considerable number of HR complaints around poor behaviour (shouting at people in meetings, telling individuals to work on their holidays etc.) from across different teams. Unfortunately HR and leadership turn a blind eye. Ultimately, the marketing leadership team has removed over 16 individuals over the course of 1 year including anyone who voiced concerns or that had submitted HR tickets. - A large portion of good, knowledgeable individuals have left the company in the past 2 years as a result of company culture eroding from within i.e. the Scandinavian company culture that is advertised does not exist anymore. - There is no cross-team collaboration in the company and no proper structure or processes set up to drive effective GTM. Instead there is a siloed motion. - There is no room for progression or development in the marketing team. Several teams in the company do not have career progression paths, hence why an increasing number of people are leaving the business. - Feedback in the marketing team is not an option. Providing feedback is not met well and in most cases will be ignored. - The commercial teams are heavily subjected to micro-management across the board. Do not expect any autonomy if you plan to work in sales or marketing. Advice to Management Wake up to the reality of the happenings at your company. You have built a strong company but good people are leaving and leaders who create toxic work environments are allowed to flourish. I would highly recommend not ignoring HR concerns, surveys and tickets as they are a transparent channel for the employees to express their thoughts on the business. Come together and establish development, learning and progressional paths for your employees. It is insanity to expect your staff to go above and beyond with no prospect to progress in your company.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your experiences. We value all feedback, both positive and negative, as it helps us understand how we can improve as a company. We are pleased that you recognize the strengths of our leadership team members and our accessible company structure and approachable leadership style. We remain committed to our values; Bold, Caring Driven and since November have been increasing our focus on amplifying all of these values in more equal measure. We have a defined strategy of driving Peak Performance, underpinned by a Thriving Culture. However, we are concerned about the issues you raised regarding the impact of new leadership, particularly within the marketing team. We take allegations of poor behaviour and complaints very seriously. We have robust policies and procedures in place to address such issues, and we encourage all employees to report any concerns they may have. Of which I cant find any formal complaints, and during my short tenure I have not witnessed anything of that nature as described. We acknowledge that the company did undergo two key changes in recent years, our organisation had to change and regrettably this impacted team members who we care deeply about. These decisions were not made lightly, and we understand the impact they have had on our employees. The organisational; focus, shape and capabilities needed to be rebalanced to align with the strategic future plans, one of those teams was Marketing that required redesigning for future success. We actively worked to stabilise the engagement and improve our overall performance as employee engagement is of the utmost importance. We are proud that our engagement scores remain in the upper quartile against benchmarks. Regarding the concerns about company culture and lack of cross-team collaboration, we are committed to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment where all employees feel valued and respected. We are continuously evaluating our processes and structures to ensure that we are promoting collaboration and effective communication across all teams. We also recognise the importance of career development and progression for our employees. We started developing clear career paths in 2023/24 and pathways will continue this year. We are proud of our internal mobility, international secondments, and promotion opportunities that we already provide to all exceptionally talented Ardoqian’s. We appreciate your feedback and are committed to addressing the issues you raised. We believe that by working together, we can continue to build a strong and successful company where all Ardoqian’s can thrive. Please do contact me if you wish to discuss anything further. Pros

- Exceptionally Supportive Culture: From day one, I was welcomed into a team that fostered creativity, inclusion, and psychological safety. The positive and encouraging environment at Ardoq helped me regain confidence after a challenging period, making this role feel more like therapy than work. - Inspirational Leadership: Working under our CMO has been one of the most rewarding professional experiences of my career. Her commitment to the team’s wellbeing, combined with her hands-on leadership and deep expertise, sets a gold standard. Her support went beyond the workplace -she personally helped secure the stability of my family at a crucial time. - Empowered Creativity and Collaboration: I’ve had the freedom to contribute ideas and take ownership of meaningful work. The lean structure post-reorg feels like a well-oiled machine, efficient, communicative, and genuinely collaborative. Everyone’s workload is respected, and contributions are valued. - Remote-First but Always Connected: Despite working remotely, I feel highly connected through well-established processes, strong IT infrastructure, and regular catch-ups that maintain momentum and cohesion. - Market-Leading Product and Audience-First Strategy: It’s a privilege to market a best-in-class product with a team that prioritises the customer experience. As a marketer, it’s a dream scenario, strategic, insight-driven, and led by people who genuinely care about value creation. - Clear Communication and Transparency: We’re updated daily on business performance and goals, and campaigns are approached with measurable outcomes in mind. This alignment keeps everyone motivated and focused.

Cons

Fast Pace Can Be Challenging for some: Ardoq moves quickly, and while that’s exciting and energising, for some, it can occasionally feel like sprinting to keep up. That said, the team is incredibly supportive, and there’s always someone willing to jump in and help when needed.

Great culture, growing a bit too fast

Pros

- Very transparent company - Strong cultural values - Surrounded by very bright people - Progressive product in an industry full of dated tech - Even in a remote world, they make you feel like part of the family

Cons

- Hiring a lot of "Directors" all with different opinions and priorities that are not culture fits. Make sure when you hire people from the outside they are a culture fit and not just someone with experience, because if your top level people are building a toxic culture it can easily flow to the rest of the organization. - Internal teams seem slightly misaligned or heading in different directions, causing a bit of chaos that is not driving value for the company.
