Pros

Has a great brand that can open doors to you in many other great companies, so it's easy to get better offers once you get into Ardova. Operate a very structured bureaucracy driven by a few very top notch professionals, so you are able to learn very quickly from people like their heads of engineering, head of supply, head of aviation marketing, head of treasury etc. They understand the industry in and out and are always available to help. That's about the only benefits of working there.

Cons

Very poor salary No 13th month No December welfare package Too many huge loans means company will not meet revenue or profit targets in a long time, so no possibility of bonus payments. Bonus hasn't been paid since 2019 or so... Inexperienced management making decisions off the cuff based and most times based on personal interest/insider relationship with vendors rather than the good of the company Job insecurity No transparent methodology for appraisals and promotion, it is at the whims of a few top level figures. Overall a company to avoid if you have alternatives, but if you don't you can risk taking their offer, but start preparing to leave within 6 months immediately you resume.

Not a Bad Place

Pros

Ardova Plc is a progressive and lively place to work, providing people with opportunities to advance professionally while contributing to critical energy solutions. The company's commitment to employee development, competitive remuneration, and a values-driven approach to business balances the challenges typical of the energy sector, such as the need for constant adaptability and sometimes high-pressure circumstances.

Cons

Being a large, Ardova Plc has a complex bureaucratic structure. This aspect can result in prolonged decision-making periods and obstacles in the swift execution of tasks or the introduction of innovative concepts. Additionally, navigating the office politics can often prove to be a considerable challenge.

Pros

*Great colleagues, willing to go over and beyond to deliver on their goals *Downstream oil & gas experience

Cons

*Salary is heavily discounted compared with the market (other competitors). The pay is not good but I believe this is because of how much the firm earns in profit or maybe unmotivated staff are not motivated to expand on possibilities. *The downstream oil and gas sector in Nigeria is really slow-paced and has been severely impacted by macroeconomic concerns. *Plans for succession are not pronounced and in many cases, nonexistent. *No big thinking about staff rotation. Staff can remain in a role throughout a career. *On the job training is not well thought through and only happens haphazardly *Most managers micromanage staff and this leads to massive refrain from subordinates to contribute to generating or recommending big solutions or opportunities for business units
