The other 20-30 employees are never seen as they 'work' from home. Management lacks the vision and skillset to manage a changing business model. No employee/management accountability at any level. Third-world office conditions. Lack of operational support. Declining research quality as workload becomes burdensome.
Argus prides itself on 'independent' research. I think it's important to point out that by independent, they mean no other company in the equity research business does it quite like Argus....I'm an employee of the firm and don't utilize the research for my own investment portfolio even as I obtain it for free. There is very little value-added research being provided by the firm. If it wasn't for such a nice group of people (hand-chosen) than John Eade would be long gone as CEO of the firm as he has ran once celebrated research firm into the ground. It really is a shame, as many employees have dedicated themselves to the firm and providing research to clients. When it comes time for them to retire, they will have nothing to show for it. A disappointment to say the least.
