Pros

The pros of Artisan are the doctors themselves. They are extraordinary. Fun, kind, grateful and talented. How they co-exist being surrounded by such terrible management is purely due to nepotism.

Cons

I was recruited by these people. Evasive from the interview. They don’t even post jobs so you won’t see the reviews. I asked about ownership and management and was not given the truth. Had I been, I would have never accept the job. All doctors and managers are either related by blood or marriage. I asked about turnover and was lied to. The amount of turnover is laughable yet nothing changes. Beyond controlling and micromanaging. Always feels like you are being watched and never trusted. If you like thinking for yourself and using your professional experience, do not work here. Their policies are self serving and not patient friendly. Operationally they do not function with standard medical office procedures. The staff mumbles negativity under their breath all day long, too fearful to speak up. I was infected quickly by the Supervisor and staffs misery. Never a simple good morning or even eye contact from my manager. No break room supplies for employees. Given one towel to sanitize front office and told to use the cleaner sparingly. Had to ask for gloves and additional towels to protect myself. I quit after one month and was asked to stay. I agreed to try. Again I advocated for patients and myself over exposure to sick employees. I ended up getting very sick. My first day out after getting sick I was called and fired “not a fit.” Previous to this my manager told me I was a great fit. I’ve never been fired in my life or even written up. I was constantly told what a great job I was doing and how I was appreciated by the doctors and how the patients loved me. I spoke the truth to my manager and supervisor and was fired for it. I could pass on the ridiculous stories for days. Such a shame. Too bad the employees don’t speak up and suffer in silence. I will miss the doctors and patients. They should have listened. They could have learned a thing or two and created a rockstar team. If you think you can make a difference, think again. Their tight grip will never allow it. Don’t believe a word they tell you. The other bad reviews are true. The good reviews are fake. Those employees never existed. Their positions and tenure are fake.

Abusive towards employees

Pros

Pay is higher than you can get elsewhere for the same job, though they have to offer it to continue to attract talent due to their high turnover.

Cons

This place is a perfect example of why nepotism is a terrible idea. The whole place is family owned, and they definitely give preferential treatment to their own. They constantly find ways to cheat employees out of sales bonuses by moving goals during the middle of the month, or arbitrarily not counting sales if you start getting too close. Meanwhile, the family members drive jaguars and porsches. They will also start and stop your health insurance depending on if you meet your sales goals, so forget about stability. While the doctors themselves are great, the management staff is very abusive towards employees. They will gaslight you, and verbally and mentally abuse you. They are the worst people I have ever worked for, and I had to go to months of therapy after working for them just to get my head back on straight, and realize that I wasn't worthless like I was told multiple times. I can not stress enough, do not ever work for these people. You will come to regret it, and become another victim of their abusive machine. They turn over people non stop, so don't expect to become friends with your coworkers. (The management also strongly discourages it). All in all, the most unethical, terrible, nepotic place I have ever seen or had the misfortune to work for.

Run, it’s toxic.

Pros

The other employees were friendly when they weren’t crying because someone in the family management made them feel like crap. The doctors are amazing, it’s too bad their family members don’t know how to treat humans that work for them.

Cons

Worst micromanaging I've ever experienced. Went so far as to micromanage the pitch of voice at the end of a phone call. Changed their minds regularly and instead of communicating changes just got angry when employees did what they'd been trained to do. Poor training and constant belittling. Bordering on employee abuse. There's a reason they've been through 36 employees in a short amount of time, even though was told at interview that turnover rate was very low and no one had left the company but new position had been created. They get rid of everyone that isn’t family within a year. I was hired at the same time as two others, I lasted the longest at 10 months, one of them had to quit due to their ptsd symptoms reappearing. Toxic.
