Pros

AHS has a diverse population, great worker who love their clients, and speak different languages.

Cons

The CEO of this organization lacks lots of people skills, doesn't understand and respect the culture of the immigrants and Refugees. He and his leadership team have no clue about how the employees feel and they don't care about their feelings or culture at all. They don't listen to the employees, assign tasks randomly to staff, never include employees in decision making process, and always blame employees for everything. The CEO hires his friends for high positions, and ignore the employees that are high performers and been with the agency many years. In AHS and with the current CEO, there is no hope for this agency to grow, or the staff to grow. This CEO and his leadership team are done lots of unethical things and they will destroy AHS very soon. Stay Away from this place. You will only waist your time here. The HR is a horrible person, as she has no adequate education about Human Resources.

Pros

Not much pros to discuss. CEO and CFO destroyed agency morale.

Cons

The CEO has ruined this agency. He has zero business skills. Under his leadership Passages Charter School went on strike and just recently he lost 3/4 of agency funding because the medical clinic separated and went independent. CFO is a friend of CEO and her leadership is poor. She has built an administration empire yet they only pay low salaries to others because they claim funding is low.

Pros

Many of the lower level employees care deeply about the work that they're doing

Cons

Management is out-of-touch and has no conception of the daily work. Hard work is not rewarded. High employee turnover and burn-out. Employees are asked to take on more and more work without any additional compensation. New programs and initiatives that could benefit clients are never given a chance. All management wants to do is make money, even to the point of treating clients unethically. Benefits are not on par with similar social service agencies.
