Pros

- lovely, hardworking team - gorgeous product - so much potential

Cons

- erratic and unprofessional founder that is too involved - no work from home, but the founder works from home - minimum holiday - no clothing allowance - no HR - no development plan - lack of autonomy because you end up just doing what the founder thinks is best, even if it doesn’t make sense

Pros

-The team is the best part of this company. -Working within a small team can bring out your strength. -Always striving for perfection and the garments reflect this. -The design room has treat Friday but this is at your expense. -Everyone is open to talk about ways of improving the company, no matter your department.

Cons

Firstly any Glassdoor review that states, no cons! These reviews are on here due to the director asking her “favourite” members to post a good review on here. Well-being washing, the company stated in the impact report that they achieved this, I would like to ask how? If anything Aspiga makes people stressed, doubt their ability and shames sick days for mental health (even when they caused the anxiety). I am actually still recovering from how this company treats people. Employee discounts being reduced and the number of times you can use the discount is restricted. Sample sales are offered but 10% discount on what the normal consumer would pay, so not much at all. Early Friday finishes in summer are only if you hit targets, these said targets are almost impossible. The mental wellness scheme is flawed and not followed. Profits are of upmost importance to this company. Excuses are made for the directors behaviour No diversity and most employees are from a upper class background Nothing is set in stone and there isn’t any structure, prepare yourself for putting out fires Pay day is not at midnight or even 9am, most likely 6:30pm on that day. Pension rules not followed.

Pros

Some of the team are lovely Seen as a good company to work for

Cons

Extremely toxic environment that's best avoided at all costs. Constant talking about people behind their back, no accountability, and Chinese whispers around the office. The leadership team in particular have a negative attitude towards the younger employees. Terrible pay. Complete lack of organisation and structure: Messy, zero organisation, no official training, thrown in at the deep end and looked down on if you don't know what you're doing. Overworked staff, especially interns: A serious lack of team-work, mundane/repetitive tasks, feeling unappreciated and needing "a thick skin” (founder once quoted) if you are to survive here. Oh, and if you complain, you will be sacked. No HR, minimal policies, and no autonomy: No work from home, feels like being back at school, limited holiday, no clothing allowance, no HR, no development plan. Say goodbye to your mental wellness: The wellbeing scheme is non-existent. Sick days for mental health are shamed, profit prioritised, and mental stress is pervasive around the office. Interestingly, employee wellness is a core component of B Corp certification. Here’s how B Corp views employee wellness: In the Workers section, B Lab specifically evaluates: Compensation and benefits - none Health and wellness programs - non-existent Training and professional development - none Workplace safety - none Employee satisfaction and engagement - not interested in Work-life balance - non-existent Communication between leadership and staff - hardly Policies supporting diversity, inclusion, and mental health - take a look around the office. Looks like a good company from the outside but if people could see behind the scenes, they would have a different opinion. A bully for a founder who is as erratic as they come. Constant doubt about your ability. The list goes on. There is one problem at the root of this business and everyone knows what it is.
