Pros

Surrounded by some of the brightest engineers and sales staff Coffee Office was a good location Decent insurance

Cons

Multiple restructuring over the time I worked there, lost count. Layoffs whenever they needed to cut budgets. Management is cutthroat and manipulative, out for their own salary increases. A lot, but a lot of nepotism, most management is related in some way to the largest client. Largest client is american and highly volatile. Minimal raises, no bonuses despite offering one as incentive to finish a project You can give your 100% to this place and still get no little to no recognition They appear to keep the Montreal office only to take advantage of Canadian tax credits and subsidies. Consistent effort to move everything out of he country, of course via the main client. Guilt trips if you needed to take time to go for appointments or asked to work from home.

Pros

Opportunities to work with a wide array of technologies (iOS, Android, Electron, golang, React, Elasticsearch)

Cons

Company has been on the cusp of bankrupcy for over 5 years now. Lack of financial vigilence caused layoffs in april '23. Most of the code was rushed out through the door. High turnover without proper sustained technical leadership has made the product very convoluted for no reason. Main client is very finnicky and unpredictable, but holds a lot of power, to which management readily folds.
