Pros
Sometimes you get to see cool talent Catered lunches
Cons
No HR department to speak of (Finance recently took over HR and have no idea what they're doing but are absurdly confident that they do) Can get fired for literally nothing (CEO's assistants fired suddenly and he said it was because they were seen on the cameras that are far from their desks listening to his calls after he told them to drop) Won't fire people who need to be (one exec told her assistant to kill herself, someone who's repeatedly been caught in lies and had multiple inappropriate interactions with interns and other staff and is just generally useless at their job) Heard a person get promoted because they "are from such a good family" (i.e. white, Jewish, wealthy, etc.) Execs tell you who to hire as interns ("my cousin's son" or "our next-door neighbor" ) Never fully closed during the pandemic (don't care about their employees' well-being and the CEO refused to get tested at first after being on multiple international flights) Assistants are gossipy and cliquey but generally some of the better people that work for the company Promotes people because they are "due" rather than for merit Some execs regularly scream at their assistants/each other/their spouses Minimum wage pay
