I have been working in this company for 1 year and I am very familiar with the operations of different departments. If I have to pick one word to describe this company, I will use the word "laughable". For future job seekers who intend to come to this company, I sincerely hope you could take 5 minutes to read through what I have written below. If you still insist, good luck with you. 1. [Root of all problems] When speaking of Fintech companies, people usually think of passionate entrepreneurs who love technology and want to bring some new value to the financial industry. Yet, it is not the case although the company claims itself to be a FinTech company. The management is consisted of narrow minded people who have neither respect for technology nor knowledge about technology/trading. In fact, they don’t even know how to respect people – something which a normal person should be capable of 2. [No Vision] The company is a crypto firm. Crypto is an actively developing area. Yet the management only wants to copy from what they did in traditional markets without paying attention to the specificities of crypto. Plus, every single day the management gives instructions contradictory to what’s said on the previous day. The CEO, Thxr Chxn, is a stupid guy who has no leadership and crisis handling skills. 3. [Unprofessional Team] To be fair, there are (to be more precise, used to be) some very intelligent and hard-working people. But most of them leave because of the management. Don’t expect the team to be professional. Most of the people in this company don’t know and don’t want to know what they are doing. They don’t pay attention to their works. If you told them to input 0.001 into a spreadsheet, they will input 0.01. No working standard. No internal governance. No attempt to solve problems and deliver improvements. If you are serious to the job, be prepared as you have to correct lots of careless mistakes by others. 4. [Not Treasure Real Talents] Since the management has no technical knowledge, they give lots of stupid opinions. For example, instructing a Network Engineer to do Application Developer’s jobs, instructing the trading team to delay hedging in such a volatile market and do account opening/reporting stuff. Definitely a waste of manpower. 5. [Terribly Long Working Hours but Low Salary] In this company, you need to keep your phone anytime. Liberally anytime. This is because they will call you during midnight for something which should be solved during daytime. They will try to interrupt your leisure time at all costs when they think they need you. Yet, don’t expect to receive honors from your contribution. The firm won’t review your salary unless you initiate a review or you are leaving for another offer. This is because HR is not doing their jobs! They even make typos on your employment contract! 6. [Offensive Behaviors] Some management staffs are obscene, middle-aged guys whose mental maturity is the same as that of adolescents. Their offensive behaviors are including but not limited to: hitting on tables/computers when getting angry, making sex jokes on female colleagues (which are truly sexual harassment), making false rumors 7. [Muddy Politics] Full of tension among different departments. Everyone wants to blame others for its own inability. 8. [Fake Promises] All are liars. Some team is promised to have certain amount of bonuses, but it turns out they receive less than half of the promised. Also, some colleagues were “robbed” – sorry I can’t think of another word to describe that, but what they deposited into the exchange is deduced for illegitimate reasons. Plus there is no medical benefit as they don’t manage to make medical cards.
