Pros
Typical APS stability, sometimes alot of training.
Cons
Bit of a bait and switch typical to defence. "You'll do XYZ", maybe in 3-5 years down the line. Culture is quite toxic too. Budget for training is also an issue these days. No flexibility WFH, have to be on site. Tend to hire people under qualified because they can't compete with private. Can be exhausting training all the time.
