Don't Do It To Yourself

Pros

can work from home, pay is reasonable, non-management staff are very nice.

Cons

This organisation has gone through a big restructure and their members are very angry about it. They are constantly aggressive and abusive to staff in meetings and via emails. They expect the impossible. HR/Management's advice is for staff to get psychological help to deal with it, instead of fixing the problem. Complain about members' unacceptable behaviour once too often and find yourself being managed out. They also lost $1/2m last year, so expect even more cuts.

Pros

WFH 3 days a week, love working with my direct manager who respects my autonomy and appreciates my input

Cons

New CEO tries to change the culture for the better but it is still a conservative environment. Long-time staff are inflexible to change and very hierarchical, they gossip about who they assume to be bad employees without trying to understand that we all come with different challenges in life. Don't even talk about neuro diversity, nobody cares.
