Pros

I was directly managed by the Editor/Publisher of Autobody News. Overall, my experience there was very positive. My manager trusted me completely to do my job well, so I thankfully never had to deal with micromanagement. I was treated with respect and got along very well with most of my coworkers. I never had to work overtime, and I was offered a raise after working there for a year without having to bring it up on my own.

Cons

Very quiet office and not particularly social. This is the ideal work environment for someone who wants to simply come to work, do their job, and leave on time every day. Definitely not the company to work for if you’re looking for company happy hours, retreats, etc. This could be a pro or con depending on your perspective.

Pros

One company owner is awesome and I have a lot of respect for her. This owner encourages employees to suggest ideas and improve processes. Trust her employees and flexible with work hours. She appreciates those who take initiative and respects your experience/knowledge. She is the best part of this company.

Cons

Other company owner works maybe 2 hours a day which would be fine except that he is suppose to also is the publisher of the magazine. He demands respect and thinks he knows everything when he really never knows what he's talking about. And when he realizes he doesn't know what he is talking about he squashes the conversation and there is no resolution. He puts zero effort into working together or doing his part. He makes everyone's job harder (especially the other owner's). He is condescending, sexist, and horrible to work for/with.
