This person does not appear to be an 'experienced plater' as he describes - an experienced 'plater' would not be stranded and would not required payment of travelling expenses, being able to 'plate' around effectively. AML has experience platers who are able to do the job required, without complaint. A number of these gentlemen have been with the business for 2+ years with some being with the business for over 10+ years - we are obviously doing something right! In a full driver induction all the information detailed as negative in this review are explained to potential drivers. More importantly - AML adhere to Inland Revenue guidelines on self employment - there is a lack of understanding in this review of these guidelines - under the regulations payning for travel is not permitted. If AML did so they would leave themselves and the drivers that work for them open to investigation. In terms of rates of pay - Research has shown that AML is one of the better payers in this market place and AML continues to monitor its peers for their current rates. Drivers often forget that this is a fully self employed role and should take this into consideration before providing feedback.
