I worked there for a few years, casual position.
One of the supervisors was extremely shady and did not have any empathy, just overall a sociopath, for example if you were unavailable for a shift or call in sick, she will retaliate and hold shifts from you for several weeks as punishment if you are not one of her favourites that constantly get walked all over.
The company treats their employees like disposable objects, there is a lot of power play and unreasonable behaviour, they also keep them fully in the dark about everything.
An employee reported an inspector to hr for sexual assault/harassment and the victim was then made to work partnered with the man afterwards.
They without any notice fired 3 of their casuals who’ve been employees for years due to the inspection department “closing down” just to offer their favourites and the sexual assaulter jobs in the union doing our jobs, with a big pay raise.
One of the fired employees was 8 months pregnant and they had her working on her days off, 6+ days in a row with 1 other person the majority of the time when they found out she was pregnant, sending her on unnecessary runs around.
For a few months up to us being randomly let go, they had us working in teams of 3 (you needed 2 people per line of cars normally) and if there weren’t a third person it was just 2 people inspecting over 1500 cars alone, keep in mind the in the inspection supervisors job description she was suppose to help on field when needed, the previous one always helped. She just sat from home or her office being passive aggressive.
Very high turnover rate, low morality.
