Pros

You will only get in trouble here if you report an incident.

Cons

Toxic environment. Cliche based social structure. Are you one of the "cool kids?" if not, dont bother to work here.

Pros

Coworkers are supportive. Benefits are okay.

Cons

Worst company I've ever worked for. If you value work-life balance then this is not the job for you. Work-life balance is terrible. Mandatory overtime that could see you working three weeks to a month straight without a single day off. Days can be brutal back-to-back-to-back 12 hour shifts. Management is terrible. Union is spineless. Cronyism, favoritism, and toxicity runs rampant here. Impossible expectations. Reckless driving. Some people driving under the influence. Overworked for what basically amounts to fast food wages. People's paychecks always getting messed up. Safety rules are selectively enforced.

Thank you for your feedback and for your hard work. With a 24/7/365 operation Autoport could not function without its dedicated employees. Safety is a core value at Autoport and we make sure to provide our employees with the necessary tools and training to work safely. We also provide a number of ways for employees to share and escalate safety concerns. When we recruit talent to our teams we spend a lot of time going over the realities associated with the railroad operating 24/7/365 days a year, including how being on call can disrupt your family life and important events. We thank you for having helped move our business and the economy forward and hope you shared your thoughts during your exit interview.
