Pros

If you were fortunate enough to be one of the 'chosen ones', or happened to have a skill set that was needed at the moment, Avamere could be financially rewarding for selected employees.

Cons

Avamere proudly posts its "core values" video all over its website, which couldn't be more hypocritical. With turnover that far exceeds the industry average, Avamere treats employees like nothing more than cogs in a wheel. No training, limited and outdated policies and procedures. Organization is top heavy, paying for large executive salaries, luxury car fleet, private jet, and of course the press worthy island in Lake Oswego.

Pros

Good home office staff and assistance. They are innovative and seem to want to stay ahead of the curve with technology.

Cons

They do not treat administrators like they tell administrators to treat their staff. They allow the Regional Directors and President to manage in autocratic styles and practice fear & intimidation tactics to gain compliance with expected outcomes rather than listen to the administrators s to what the barriers are and offer suggestions, help, training, or anything else that's needed. They treat administrators like they are disposable & replaceable.

Rick & Rick Big Smiles - Character Flaws

Pros

Provide jobs.....that is if you have no history of a job injury, or ever collected unemployment benefits,

Cons

I personally observed one of the Ricks during a take-over, promise an administrator with the previous owner continuation of the position after the take over and then was fired 3 days afterwards. Promise Keepers? Don't think so. As is common with their initial staff meetings, it was indoctrination of the great and wonderful company of Avamere,......"Strawberries Forever".....were nothing is real......big smiles while in their hearts and minds they crafted which employees they would keep. Employees having workers compensation claims with the former employer were the first to go..... and don't question why if you do...don't let the door hit you while you exit......
