Pros
The people are some of the hardest workers I've worked with. The mission of making the tissue donation come to life (literally) through the different products. Senior leadership isn't so bad and production management works hard.
Cons
This company doesn't have the foundation to make it last. There are no annual reviews, no annual raises. When they finally gave raises, it was spriodatic, and it didn't reach all departments which made us feel awkward to each other. They have the most micromanagers in director and manager positions. These "managers" don't know what they are doing and have no leadership skills. There is no room for other opportunities unless you talk to the right people, but even then, there's not much movement available. For being in the bay hotspot biotech world, the benefits are pale in comparison to other start ups and oldies.
