A Challenging Workplace Environment

Pros

This is a team of talented, innovative, and passionate individuals that have set a new standard in the gaming industry. Their commitment to excellence and their love for creating unforgettable experiences make them a force to be reckoned with. I eagerly anticipate their future endeavors and the remarkable games that will undoubtedly emerge from this exceptional group of individuals.

Cons

The company's workplace environment appears to be hindered by a lack of professionalism, DEI, excess amount of unnecessary meetings, and questionable leadership decisions based on personal relationships rather than business acumen. Addressing these issues would likely contribute to a more inclusive, efficient, and successful organizational culture.

Talented teams. Bad leadership.

Pros

You get to work with some of the most talented, nice people and game devs I ever worked with. Constantly blew my mind.

Cons

Chaos. Churn. Pivots. People in the highest positions were good examples of the Peter Principle and were also learning on the job. CEO has a god complex.

The epitome of every wrong with the industry

Pros

I had some talented coworkers during my time at the company that kept me hopeful and sane.

Cons

The lack of clear direction and purpose within the studio was evident, with executive leadership seeming more interested in personal pursuits than fostering a cohesive work environment. Unfortunately, this created a culture where employees were pitted against each other and blamed for outcomes that were beyond their control. I witnessed leadership's treatment of long-term employees, who would be let go under the guise of "restructuring," but often due to questioning unrealistic expectations or decisions. The leadership team's behavior was not only ineffective but also damaging, as they often promoted and perpetuated archaic views that were misogynistic and ableist, creating a hostile and uncomfortable work environment. The overall atmosphere was toxic and unsustainable, with a clear lack of respect for employees' time and well-being.
