Pros
Azzur is a consulting firm, which means you are contracted out to do projects at client companies. Perhaps the only silver lining here is the fast experience, although there are plenty of other consulting firms where you will get the same experience. Trust me, there is no shortage of opportunities open at consulting firms - it only means more people they can bill their clients. I met good people and we grew close through wartime bonding. Only reason this is a 2. Management would be a 1.
Cons
RE: Azzur California - Don't be fooled by the positive reviews - it is obvious they are written by upper management (ie. company owners/partners), in order to counteract the many negative reviews. Low pay for industry standards. Low/no budget for training, yet higher-ups take home too handsome of a salary. Management bends over backwards for clients at the cost of their own employees. They pinch pennies for their clients, employee salaries, and billed hours. Some project managers are hailed as heroes not for their own merit but for situations they inherited. "Core values" are a joke - they are an excuse to make employees work harder without proper compensation. Bonuses are a joke - consider them non-existent. I recently heard that the privilege of taking time off during the holidays was considered the "bonus." Bottom line - management gets rich (300-600k per) by putting their employees through hell. Poor compensation and huge turnover rate, but that doesn't matter because they can always hire more inexperienced people looking for a break to bill out to their clients. Constant bait and switching their clients (promising certain people and switching them out).
