Pros

Azzur is a consulting firm, which means you are contracted out to do projects at client companies. Perhaps the only silver lining here is the fast experience, although there are plenty of other consulting firms where you will get the same experience. Trust me, there is no shortage of opportunities open at consulting firms - it only means more people they can bill their clients. I met good people and we grew close through wartime bonding. Only reason this is a 2. Management would be a 1.

Cons

RE: Azzur California - Don't be fooled by the positive reviews - it is obvious they are written by upper management (ie. company owners/partners), in order to counteract the many negative reviews. Low pay for industry standards. Low/no budget for training, yet higher-ups take home too handsome of a salary. Management bends over backwards for clients at the cost of their own employees. They pinch pennies for their clients, employee salaries, and billed hours. Some project managers are hailed as heroes not for their own merit but for situations they inherited. "Core values" are a joke - they are an excuse to make employees work harder without proper compensation. Bonuses are a joke - consider them non-existent. I recently heard that the privilege of taking time off during the holidays was considered the "bonus." Bottom line - management gets rich (300-600k per) by putting their employees through hell. Poor compensation and huge turnover rate, but that doesn't matter because they can always hire more inexperienced people looking for a break to bill out to their clients. Constant bait and switching their clients (promising certain people and switching them out).

Pros

Good co-workers and fun company events

Cons

Had stellar performance review for two consecutive years. But when you try to leave the company for your career advancement, the Management has vendetta against you and try to threaten you with non applicable - non compete claws to make sure either you stay forcefully with them as employee attrition rate was much higher during the time I left. The general manager went as far as to contact my future Hiring manager and advice them to not hire me and also said to pay me $$$$ salary as well. Have never seen anything like this before. Upon digging, I found out I was not the lucky one. He has tried this with atleast 4-5 past employees that I am aware of. Moreover benefit package is also terrible. Not even industry standard. 401k is almost non-existent. Health insurance with sky high premium, low coverage and astonishingly high deductible and out of pocket maximum.

Azzur Group Response
5y
This is important feedback and Azzur Group will look to further educate our employees on the terms within our client service agreements and the terms and conditions of their employment so that a proactive and positive conversation can be initiated. When client service agreements and employment agreements are inadvertently violated, it is our responsibility to alert the involved parties of their contractual obligation and resolve the situation. In this instance - the client was contacted and made aware of the issue and it was quickly and amicably resolved. Unfortunately, when the employee was notified, it was apparent that they were unaware of the legal terms and conditions of the employment agreement they had signed. Based on the employee’s positive track record, Azzur Group understood why this individual wanted to pursue other opportunities, did not to pursue any further action, and wishes this employee success.

Pros

They throw lavish company parties that actually are coming out of your own pocket but they let you think it's them giving back to you.

Cons

Hire unqualified employees that are straight out of college with zero experience and overcharge clients for these individuals. Basically they are lying to the clients and try and train the employees on the fly or as they go through an online business social media type of system. They can be compared to as "used car salesman"
