amazing at first, eventually became intolerable

- discounted league - amazing co-worker - great opportunities for career advancement - great benefits (but only if you’re a supervisor or manager)

Cons

- expect to be scheduled for 40 hours a week in on-call shifts but only be needed for 16 of them - horrible management - tips are shared with salaried management - HR is very unfriendly

Amazing Coworkers, Mediocre Head Office

Pros

The coworkers were great. Almost everyone from my venue to other GMs were personable, friendly, and genuinely there to make sure the guests were having a good time. Because of this there was a real sense of community and I never dreaded going into work.

Cons

The Venue Support Team (Head Office) is struggling. There have been too many changes made, making it incredibly difficult for staff to keep up with current policies and software. The COO has never truly worked in a venue so has no idea what the venues deal with day to day. The company has gone from wanting to give the best experience in Axe Throwing to watering everything down, now giving a mediocre experience in Axe Throwing, Knife Throwing, Archery, and - most recently - Rage Rooms. Instead of focusing on doing one thing really well, they're starting to do a bunch of things adequately, and causing the brand recognition to die off (especially considering they went through three different names in three years.

Cons

Not willing to provide employees full time hours, or benefits easily. A very disorganized work environment. Tip Theft. Customers can get rowdy.
