Pros

The concept itself is fun. Discounted Leagues Discounted Merch

Cons

One of the biggest issues was blatant favoritism from management. Certain employees were consistently given the best shifts, lighter workloads, and more leniency, while others were left to handle the busiest nights with little support. Performance didn’t seem to matter nearly as much as who you were friends with. Concerns about safety, staffing, and scheduling were often ignored—unless they came from someone in management’s inner circle. Promotions and opportunities didn’t feel based on merit, which created resentment and low morale among the team. It was frustrating to work hard and see others rewarded simply because of personal relationships. Combined with chronic understaffing and minimal training, the environment felt disorganized and unfair. Behind the scenes it was a workplace defined more by favoritism than professionalism.

Pros

The concept is fun, but behind the scenes it felt disorganized and stressful.

Cons

As a former employee at BATL Axe Throwing, I feel obligated to share my experience. Working there was incredibly disappointing. Management consistently prioritized profit over staff well-being and safety. We were often understaffed during busy shifts, yet still expected to manage multiple groups at once, which made it difficult to properly supervise lanes and ensure guests were following safety protocols. Training was minimal, and new hires were frequently thrown onto the floor without enough preparation. When concerns were raised about safety or workload, they were often dismissed. Communication from management was poor, scheduling felt inconsistent, and morale among staff was generally low.
