Pros

The company is a strong company, growing strength to strength. They have good revenue growth, and there is very good potential in the company.

Cons

Management is not perfect, but I do not put it down to the executive level management. - I saw a review by a production support engineer below which describes the executive level management as incompetent. - The issues came down to keeping staff who had been around for >5 years, such as this said production support engineer, who created their own clique and behaved extremely poorly in the office. - Most of said personnel who stayed on for 5 years got promoted to managerial levels and failed terribly. They displayed poor attitudes and did not/were not accountable for their actions. - In this regard, the executive management were guilty of loyalty to their long-serving staff when they tried to give them growing roles which befitted their salary. However, these staff members were incompetent and created a toxic culture in the company. They should have been told to leave a couple of times, but stayed around just to cause havoc. - Because of this small clique of employees, a lot of potential hires/interns were lost due to having a bad experience with the toxic culture created.

As you rightly highlight, the Bboxx business has grown and changed very rapidly over the last 10 years, and with that there is always a challenge to keep the culture alive, relevant and enable it to scale. It is a big focus for us to ensure we maintain, evolve and build our culture as we continue on our ambitious growth pathway. Thank you for highlighting the company potential – driven by our purpose to transform lives and unlock potential, and having impacted over 1 million lives on the journey so far, we really hope that we can continue to achieve great things.

Pros

I came to the company not expecting much, but I've been blown away with how receptive they are. The UK engineering office may be small in terms of number of people, but the talent in the room is amazing, I have learnt so much and I continue to learn new things everyday. The CTO is very understanding and will help you progress in your career, whether that means letting you take on more responsibilities or if its simply taking a course.

Cons

Dealing with product managers / project managers is very hard. However that stems from the fact that the experience of project management isn't there, and since this is still a relatively young company that is something you can forgive as they are still learning the ropes. That being said, sometimes the deadlines for requirements to be developed can be rather unrealistic.
