Very few African-Americans work at this firm. I counted no more than 10 in total. Working as a black person at this firm, I experienced micromanagement and microagression by senior management and by executive assistants. They make it crystal clear there that their African American employees are not as important as their Caucasian employees. I spoke up about how I experiencing microagression by someone at the firm, and as a result, I was told by senior management that I hurt that person’s feelings by mentioning that she was exhibiting microagression towards me. I was then told by senior management that I should be more “positive.” Shortly, thereafter, I was fired. As an African American working at this firm, you CANNOT speak about or ever mention to ANYONE at that firm that you are being mistreated or experiencing microagression. They will say you are not being a “team player” and then fire you…instead dealing with the people who are displaying this discriminating and bad behavior.
