Pros

Good experience with clients and good introduction to the field.

Cons

Horrible pay.... the raises are absolutely ridiculous, and are based on the subjective opinions of upper management who don't even see you working with clients.

Thank you for your review. We have made really exciting changes to our structure over the past few years and have added additional perks and programs for our staff members. All positions start at $10.00 per hour with opportunities to increase your starting pay based on the following factors: previous experience in the field, higher education or a degree in a field such as Psychology, Education, etc. and having an RBT certification. We also provide overtime pay to full time employees, the ability to accrue PTO after 30 days of employment, health, dental and vision benefits at a cost of only $67 per paycheck for employee only coverage as well as practicum options.

Pros

Easy job depending on which house you get placed at. You can literally clock into work, get your client ready, and leave the entire shift.

Cons

Poor scheduling, poor management, the company doesn’t tell you how bad the clients behaviors are so that you would take the job.

Pros

-developing relationships with clients and their families -meaningful work -flexible hours -passionate staff

Cons

-tons of turnover, both direct care and supervisory -not the best pay -you spend most time alone with clients, so you miss out on a supportive fellow employee environment -supervisors have big caseloads, lots of little details fall through the cracks

Thank you so much for your review. We have continued to listen to our staff's feedback for positive changes to our policies and the position requirements and are happy to announce that we have several opportunities for our staff to increase their per hour pay. All DSP positions start at a base pay of $10.00 per hour and can increase depending on the following factors: previous experience in the field, relevant education as well as increased per hour pay for specific clients/locations and completion of the RBT certification program. Additionally, full time employees are not only provided great health, dental and vision insurance at a premium of only $67 per pay period, but they are also eligible to work overtime hours as needed. We are doing extensive supervisor training on how to best support not only our clients but staff and have added a Training Coordinator position within the last year to provide 1:1 support and observation of our staff, provide Quality Assurance in the homes and to assist in in-the-moment feedback in the field. Many of our residential homes are occupied by more than one client so there is an opportunity to work alongside fellow support staff at times but yes, this is a 1:1 support position so many times, it will be just you and your client. Luckily, we have several group meet ups and settings in which you can provide that same support to your client with other clients of our agency in group settings such as our Kickback Club, monthly luncheons, and parties/gatherings at our central office.
