Pros

The rate of pay is good compared to other employers in the area. There are also free drinks in the fridge.

Cons

- I'm not sure the business plan is legal because the company gives away a ton of free music and video files as an incentive. And they sell unlimited music files to anyone for $20 per month, including old school and music videos. - None of the executives have worked in the music industry before this and you can tell by speaking to them because they are arrogant and full of themselves. - The CEO/Founder is not educated. He has someone else read anything longer than an email. He is not registered to vote. For a tech founder he knows almost nothing about web design. His developers in India have been taking him on a ride for years. He wouldn't give my the FTP password for the blog for "security reasons" the entire time I was there, and I was in charge of the blog. - The executives spent more time planning what the new office would look like than they did on the marketing plan, and the company is not very big yet. - I was being paid a managers salary and the founder would ignore almost all of my suggestions and emails. Sometimes he would look me up and down while I was speaking. Once I was sent a late night text like he was fishing for something. And his spouse happens to be the executive in charge of human resources and managing the office. - The majority of the followers on social media are fake accounts they paid for online. - Employees would have discussions about going to the strip club or doing cocaine out in the open, like they thought it was cool. They were never reprimanded by management. This made me feel uncomfortable as a woman and as an adult at work. - I was laid off the day after Christmas -- when they asked me to spend $75 on White Elephant and Secret Santa gifts. I was told to my face that it was due to a change in the marketing plan. - After that they informed the EDD that I was terminated for misconduct so they wouldn't have to pay the extra taxes. I had to contest their claims which delayed my unemployment insurance benefits for over a month. - When I contacted the company to ask if the EDD thing was a mistake, I was told never to contact them again. - This is the second time I have posted this because someone asked them to remove it on a technicality. - I didn't seek legal action because I was disgusted and wanted nothing to do with them or their money.
