Pros

Staff discounts, the team ect

Cons

Absolutely no care in the world about team. Being forced to manage multiple stores at the same time for an extra $50 a fortnight is ridiculous A store manager raised concerns about the team member manual handling injuries due to the massive amounts of stock coming in with no extra wage support and we were told that we have no experience navigating geopolitical issues in the world and to basically just put up with it Area Managers are a bunch of bullies and an constantly being screamed at.

Pros

A varying degree of staff discount on products, chance to make strong friendships with team members

Cons

A complete disregard and lack of care for their frontline staff from everything to physical safety, mental health and team input. If it means saving even one dollar this poor excuse for a company will do it. Lack of support for staff in stores from out of touch upper management who run stores from desks in their ivory tower. If you would like to see how not to treat your staff, look no further than BWS

Pros

Good team and range of hours available. Easy job. Pay is OK if you can't do anything else. Otherwise there are better jobs out there. Good team benefits.

Cons

There are no "opportunities to move up". Better pay if you work night shifts/weekends. Can be ok for students. Lots of heavy lifting at times. Management sometimes set unrealistic expectations during busy periods. Management likes to frequently understaff during busy periods/reduce hours to cut costs. Leads to overworked team. Greedy upper management paying themselves bonuses while front staff get $10 wines for Christmas.
