A child could run this 'company' better

Pros

Get to meet some lovely people

Cons

There are so many cons to this place. The 'boss' Dearan is obnoxious and so full of his own self-importance it is difficult to deal with most of the time. Literally, no one is paid so it's run by all interns. This is less of a company and more of a pet project where you are harassed at all hours to promote the website. The main focus is views so that it can draw sponsorships. Dearen has no issue giving out about others and feels like if he doesn't agree with your point of view then it's the wrong point of view. There was one assessment done in my time there and after getting feedback from all of us that he didn't like he pretty much threw a tantrum. When you get high views on an article, the only question asked is ‘how did you do that?’ no other acknowledgment. The office is his apartment and during lockdown still had people working there which of course go against the restrictions. There have been many people who felt bullied and harassed in this job and I can see why as it is toxic. If there are any changes made, you will most likely not be told about it until you try to do it the old way and just get an image sent to you with no context, expecting you to suddenly realise what the issue is. Overall would not recommend this to my enemy. Stay away from here, it is just not worth it.

Pros

none!!! Do not go there the CEO is spam!! He will promise you good things but there is nothing to learn.

Cons

I worked there for 3 months and I left early because there was nothing to do...Babylon Radio started 13years ago and there is still no progress. Dearan, CEO doesn't know what he is doing, he keeps hiring interns to do the "job" while he is not doing anything all day long. He will promise you that you will organise concerts, events, meet professionals, work in the office in Henry Street but NONE of these is true!! There is no budget to organise events, the office is a 3m² room with not even a table or chairs just sofa. You are going to do always the same things, with no opinion from the "CEO" on your work. He has nothing to teach you except going to Dicey's with the interns. He is not professional at all, doesn't know how to do and won't let you do things because "he is the boss". Don't go there because you are going to waste your time and all your money!! I tried to talk with him saying that I thought it would be more professional, I wanted to do more and he just disappears for two days after this... I really don't recommend to go there...

Pros

Cons

Literally everything about the business; You don't get paid You're ideas don't matter The boss doesn't have any formal degree in Journalism and/or experience in editing The boss constantly calls You need to train other people in the job even though you're not getting paid yourself The "office" is his apartment The boss calls and emails at odd times The entire business is a sham The boss used offensive language literally in our first meeting
