I worked at Bakers Delight part-time

    Pros

    - really great opportunity to take on extra responsibilities.
    - good working environment and flexible roster.
    - good management
    - free bread

Having nice owners makes a big difference, you should be able to get an idea in the interview if they will be nice people to work for.

    Cons

    - sales and bakers were managed separately at my store so managing issues that arose between us was difficult.

    Pros

    Flexible, decent pay, good food

    Cons

No real advancement, how much you enjoy it will depend on who runs your store.

    Advice to Management

    Always depends on individual management

I worked at Bakers Delight part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free food is the obvious perk, also worked with a bunch of nice girls.

    Cons

As it's a franchise, the franchisee was also my boss and also my manager. I found the lack of hierarchy made it difficult any time conflict arose.

I have been working at Bakers Delight part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    The work is reasonably easy

    Cons

These may be unique to our location but my personal experience is:

    No penalty rates
Never paid on time (must text to remind boss and even then its unlikely)
Owes certain employees weeks (even up to a month) worth of pay
Superannuation not paid (as far as I can tell) despite payslip mentioning payment
Poorly managed workplace (by franchisee himself)
Boss has selective (and mean) power trips

    On a wider scale:

    Outdated (and cringe-worthy) marketing campaigns
Education model is not particularly effective (but mandatory)

    Advice to Management

Please pay more attention to your franchisees and what laws they are not following; your company's employee base is largely young girls and exploiting them in the way I have witnessed is a terrible reflection of your company.
Despite how extreme my situation seems, I don't believe it is unique at all - it needs to be addressed and preventative action put in place company-wide immediately, or many stores will simply not survive for long.
