Some good people but a lot of bad

Pros

The pay was better than average. There are opportunities for bonuses but sometimes are not evaluated well. Some of the higher ups are really nice.

Cons

General managers asking to keep things quiet and not tell other employees. There is a feeling of dishonesty working for ball ventures. I like to feel good about what I do and I did not get that feeling there. There is a lot of gossip and gender discrimination. Some people are allowed health insurance and some aren't. Some people are allowed to get raises and others aren't.

Pros

Loved working for a growing company in a developing area.

Cons

Office culture is very split. Extremely clickish when it comes to the area's predominant religion.

Pros

Great benefits that sound awesome on paper. A small company and direct contact with all departments. A lot of hard workers and a great company, if you fit in. If you like to work through lunch hours, stay late, and come in on Saturdays then this is the place for you. There are some perks that come with working for the company. Wellness program is fantastic but is a huge distraction from your work. The CEO cares about the company. There is a lot going on with this company and it is an exciting place to work and to see your backyard (Snake River Landing) finally growing.

Cons

Great benefits come at a cost (time). Plan on doing the work of 2 or 3 people. Pay is average for the area but when you calculate your hourly rate you will find that you would be better off working somewhere else in Idaho Falls or moving to a bigger city. You could do the same work in a bigger city and get paid significantly more if you factor in your time spent "on the clock". Advancement opportunities are all but non-existent. There are a few people who have been there for a long time but they fail to mention those who leave due to lack of advancement opportunities. The company is growing tremendously but is losing more people than it can bring on. They are very slow to hire and the communication is poor during the hiring process until you begin working directly with HR. The owner and CEO have offices around the corner from you but direct access to them is non-existent. High stress, lack of upper management support (none at all in most cases), and a substantial amount of dissatisfied employees round out just a few of the issues.
