Pros

Great place to build a portfolio and network then quickly leave as FAST as you can

Cons

Cashflow problems, underpaid staff, constant office drama, incompetent management, no room for advancement, and publications are always late to the printer due to their editor in chief who cannot make her own deadlines to save her life. The BIGGEST con is the blatant and rampant racism, homophobia, and sexism within the office and within their publications. This company is stuck in the past, catering to conservative readers and bigoted ideology. It's a sinking ship that no one should miss.

Pros

* Small business feel, no corporate oppression * The staff is very friendly and works well together * Excellent place to gain experience in the industry

Cons

* Almost no vertical growth is available in the company. * A very fast-paced environment; if you fall behind it's very hard to catch up * The small staff means everyone has to pull their weight and if someone isn't it becomes very difficult for everyone else
