Chaotic, Shady Company

Pros

- There is a camaraderie amongst staff as we are all aware of how toxic the environment is - Christmas party at the end of each year

Cons

- Lack of structure and procedures, which lead to massive inefficiency in employee time and project delivery - Higher management is disinterested in streamlining processes and unwilling to adapt to outside influence - Very little opportunity for growth and promotion within the company - No formal training - Often excessive overtime - Underpaid for what you are expected to do - Handling of COVID was appalling, they care little for the staff and refused WFH conditions until they absolutely had to - Group of Directors have only ended up in their positions through nepotism and aren't qualified to guide employees appropriately - Shady business dealings which staff are exposed and forced to deal with

Don’t do it!

Pros

Interesting and unique projects and decent salary. The owner has a great work ethic and values his staff, however this disappears at site level.

Cons

Prehistoric attitudes to many higher management, aggressive environment and many of the higher management use bully boy tactics and unacceptable working hours for little or in many cases no overtime or lieu time. High turnover of staff and if your face doesn’t fit or you have a different opinion that’s game over.
