Mismanaged Company

Pros

At the mid-management and lower levels at Bellomy there are good people, but friendly co-workers don't really make up for senior management. One pro is that the company holds focus groups and often over-orders food, so the leftovers get set out in the kitchen.

Cons

Senior management is ineffective and the frequent capricious and misguided micromanagement from the highest levels of the company contributes to a toxic company culture which impacts employees at all lower levels of the company. The company lacks a sound strategy or vision, and instead seems to dabble in multiple areas which have yet to bear fruit. In their HR marketing, the company brags about its "family values," but reality couldn't be further from the truth. It is not unusual for people to get pigeonholed at Bellomy so that they won't advance, even after many years there. At minimum, you won't get a promotion until after two years.

Pros

Bellomy is the perfect size firm to make a big impact but still have the support you need from expert pockets in the company.

Cons

The market research industry is going through a lot of changes due to technology advancements, so vendor firms like Bellomy have to continually evolve to stay relevant. This can be challenging.
