Great opportunity to learn; Negative internal work culture
Pros
Working at Belmonte Builders is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the home building process. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with the customers, and helping them through the home building process, which is a stressful event. I enjoyed hearing how happy they were at the end of everything, and how much they loved their new home. The company offers great benefits, and has yearly employee days.
Cons
The hardest part is also the customers, since they are navigating a process that many have not done before. Frequently you are managing their emotional stress loads. Work culture needs authentic acknowledgement. Management and departments compete with one another rather than working together as a unified team, which leads to a lot of gossiping, negative behaviors, and disjointed collaboration. Due to all of this, and not attending to a solution at the root of the problem, specifically in the work culture, there is a very high turn over rate with the Project Coordinator Position, since they are the liaison between all departments and clients.
