4 weeks vacation and time off Great holiday schedule The place is actually a really interesting institution truly beautiful campus and buildings Interesting and compelling student work all over The offices are beautiful Good conversations and thoughtful people The food on campus is great Alums are fantastic HR does a really nice job hosting a great holiday party and staff appreciation day
Cons
Morale can be very low Many staff are overworked and under recognized Faculty/staff divide is real health benefits are really expensive There is a lot of turn over and that makes doing anything long term difficult Leadership is wishy washy, they’re big on the talk but not on the walk Financial uncertainty makes planning very hard No professional development or time for development Tuition exchange is a lottery and only one kid is eligible for the tuition exchange It is almost impossible to take classes as a staffer, and basically impossible if you want credit. no one does it.
