Pros

Working for Berger is an ongoing popularity contest. You’re in the clique or you’re out and they’ll look for any reason to get rid of you. The COO talks out both sides of his mouth. He loves to preach and hear his own voice. In reality he’s totally a narcissist. With the hopes that he is genuine, the naive people fawn over him and those that see through it are weeded our quickly. The owner buries his head in the sand to what is said poorly about who’s leading his company and how awful people on the outside of the circle are treated. He pretends to be empathetic because he wants everyone to believe he’s a nice guy. There’s no upward mobility. It’s not what you know it’s who you know. If you’re a female, forget it. The glass ceiling is clearly there- the top of the food chain is a group of good old boys. Nothing like a sexist boys club. This company creates the facade of being a great place to work but in reality there is no loyalty to their employees. People leave at corporate without explanation constantly. More than half of the office has left in the past year. Those people really cared about the company, believed in the fundamentals and worked there tail off to support the properties. They’re obviously disposable.

Cons

It’s a sham. Don’t believe the hype or the obvious solicited reviews. The company pretends that they care about each employee, they don’t. Management is two faced, constantly gets caught in a web of lies, and will throw you under the bus to save their own neck.

We appreciate you sharing your feedback as a former employee at Berger Rental Communities. Our management team is a hard working and professional team that wants the best for every employee. To address your comments about the gender of our management team, we are an equal opportunity employer and our management team is comprised of approximately 60% females. We are sorry you feel there is no upward mobility, but we do promote from within and provide all team members with a culture of growth and success throughout their career. Last year alone we provided internal promotions for 55% of our management team and 35% of our senior management team. The care we have for our team is genuine, and we are focused on employee satisfaction. If you have any additional feedback you would like to discuss, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Thanks, Dan Berger

Pros

New employees are invited to corporate for a “”, stage is set with nothing other than empty promises of a famshowily team atmosphere. values and ethics that one would enhance employee morale however, “lip service”, or you get at your cushy two days at Berger Corporate... turnover is not due to promotions because they will indicate, check out LinkedIn see how often “The Berger Bunch” are introduced to the apartment industry, via did disguise of orientation and welcoming of new hires. I’m giving my notice this week!

Cons

Untruthful promises, watch your back..

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience as we always appreciate employee feedback. We are sorry to see that this is your outlook on being a BRC team member and the efforts we take to onboard new team members. Our team at the Home Office takes two days to provide all new team members with information and skills useful to make their time here successful. We are proud when new members join our team and we like to display the amazing talent we continue to add to our company through social media platforms, such as LinkedIn and Facebook. Our company has grown tremendously in the past year and we are always looking for ways to improve and encourage growth within the company. If you have any feedback you’d like to discuss further, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Thanks, Dan Berger

We appreciate your feedback as a recent Berger Rental Communities employee and would like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Our team at Miller’s Crossing is a hard working group who strive to achieve outstanding results for their residents while operating together. We have a company wide safety committee that is available to listen to any safety opportunities our BRC family may come across, as well as our managers who are always willing to answer questions and are well equipped to handle any opportunity with professionalism. We apologize if those outlets were not presented properly during your first few days and thank you for bringing it to our attention as we are always striving to be better. We work and operate by The Berger Way, and it is what makes our company so unique. As our organization continues to grow, we are simultaneously perfecting our company practices and developing our teams. If you had any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out me directly. Thank you, Dan Berger
