Everyone (the majority) that join the Big Easy ‘family’ had great spirit, motivation and eagerness to work. This quickly becomes shattered. The disorganisation, lack of staff welfare and disrespect from the Men in charge, lead to such a high staff turnover. In the hospitality industry a high wait staff turn over is usual, but not at a managerial level. There is no consistency. Making it extremely difficult for both staff and customers alike to receive coherent responses from managers to complaints and concerns. The lack of an official HR, make it almost impossible to liaise with and know where you stand. Having to check every month that you have been paid correctly and that the employer has actually added pension contributions that have been deducted from your wages to you pension account it exhausting. Service charge that is promised,but never actually reflects in your wages. Regardless of how desperate you are for work, please keep looking. This will be better for you in the long run.
