Another Example of a Poorly Run Agency

Pros

- Excluding management, most of the people who work here are great - smart, interesting, creative, nice. Not a lot of egos. - Some of the projects/campaigns can be creatively challenging and interesting.

Cons

- The distribution of work isn't great. Half the office plays ping pong and watches YouTube videos all day, while the other half works nights and weekends. - Management is totally unorganized. There is no alignment and often major operational decisions are made by one C-suite member while another C-suite member remains completely unaware. - There are a few bad apples in more senior roles that are incredibly political and regularly throw others under the bus. - The CEO only cares about image. For example: after moving into the new office, the CEO repeatedly reprimanded us for not storing our belongings in lockers (I didn't realize this was 2nd grade??) as he wanted the office to appear clean and sleek. Meanwhile, all of the conference rooms had major acoustics issues that were so problematic, our clients couldn't hear us during conference calls. We often had to resort to using a cell phone on speaker and passing it around while presenting work. This went on for months and made us look like total amateurs.

Soulless Oblivion with snacks and lockers

Pros

People, snacks, benefits: okay but not great

Cons

The "culture" is sentimental from days when it might have still existed and now is just a disorganized long established company that acts like a start up in bad ways. They used to build cool stuff but it's all social media now. Brooklyn ad bros who think they're woke low key sexism atmosphere. Core is mostly people who seem to work maybe 35 hours a week for big salaries while the rest work for a lot less but are expected to put in far more than 40 hours per week whenever it's needed. CEO is not a good person.

Fake Empire

Pros

There are some hardworking junior staff who are committed to staying on top of their work. An A-list of clients to work for. Social gatherings are frequently arranged.

Cons

Holden Caulfield would have a field day with the level of phoniness at this place. Management lacks vision and frequently takes a very rigid "my way or the highway" attitude that comes across as condescending despite lack of credibility. The "culture", which acts as the foundation of the company, is all fake. Nobody talks to each other and stories are made up in management's head and shifted on a whim to suit their needs. While there are frequent social gatherings in the company, they rarely last beyond a drink or two because nobody actually wants to hang out with each other afterwards.
