Fake “we’re so-laid-back” culture - really just racist rednecks and good ‘ol boys

Decent comp Benefits on par with industry

Cons

Old-boy network; if management knew you from “prior life” you are held to different/lower standards than other employees. Unfortunately management did not adjust IC/goals to account for severely restricted access during pandemic shutdown - multiple individuals put on a PIP & terminated for unrealistic goals. Virtually no women in upper management, and pathetic few on the BoD.

Pros

Talented, hardworking employees. Lots of opportunity to grow outside of comfort zone. Projects are interesting and meaningful. Global trials so not merely US centric.

Cons

Anxiety over the future. As a small biotech, there is no funding and therefore an uncertain future. No promotions available although you can get experince.

Pros

A great culture/company that grew fast (85 to 275 in a year) during a pandemic and is now trying to catch up with processes.

Cons

We need updated processes, sometimes "that is the way we always have done it" isn't the best way. New employees can have great ideas because often times they are able to see things objectively.
