Pros

The people were very friendly and easy going for the most part. That is probably the only good thing i can say about this company

Cons

There are several cons specifically within the HR function that really needs to be addressed if Biourja plans on becoming a successful company. 1) HR needs to invest in their people and offer training's for career growth and development. Anyone can come on board with the selected skill-set, but ALL jobs (not this one) should successfully train their new hires to ensure that they understand processes and procedures internally. That's like me coming from a sales background and now becoming an IT professional. To completely different fields, right? 2) Management needs coaching! If Bioruja plans on being a leading company in the oil/gas industry, management needs to understand the various types of employees they are working with and how to address certain issues (i.e. performance) and understand that everyone is not the same and work in different ways. Some may require more attention than others. 3) HR should look into establishing a Performance Management Program, rather than fostering a culture that thrives off hostility and poor working relationships. My advice to anyone who decides to work here, make sure you probe and ask all of the right questions during your interview/intake process to ensure that you are a good fit. Inquire about management styles and really try and get a feel for the direction of the company. Stay away if you can, but good luck :)

Pros

fast-paced place, if you cannot keep up - don't work here survival of the fittest snacks lots of free Indian food learn a lot about Indian culture some people are very nice - others not so bright CEO and VP of HR are humble people CEO is trying to fix things - maybe we will start getting industry standard pay do your job and mind your own business and you will be okay

Cons

please stop posting fake reviews about "internal job boards" and "growing pains" no one is buying it everyone quits including HR pay is well below industry standard top talent continues to leave work-life balance is not too bad please hire experienced employees not cheap employees technology is ok, I have seen worst some people with fancy titles and big paychecks but no brain holiday off schedule is nonexistent

Pros

team members below middle management are friendly and pleasant to work with front-office positions are the only ones valued by leadership CEO is always looking for new assets

Cons

management has zero loyalty to employees, and the frequent turnover is reflective of that (voluntary and involuntary) internal career paths are non-existent executives talk a good game, but do not follow through bonuses have been nominal over the past few years toxic work environment, unless you like shouting matches in the office pay is below market since the company tries to find distressed assets, which includes employees
