Working at Birch Event Design has been one of the most negative professional experiences of my career. The company does not care about its staff at all. I have personally witnessed on many occasions employees raising serious grievances including myself and upper management either ignoring them completely or brushing them off without resolution. There is little to no HR infrastructure in place leaving staff without any support or resources to navigate workplace challenges.
The company has a long track record of disregarding workplace laws and basic employee rights. Issues of health, safety, and fair treatment are routinely overlooked. Employee wellbeing is never prioritized and burnout is common because of unrealistic demands, lack of support, and poor leadership.
The founder Josh appears focused only on profits and prestige. While the company grows it does so by exploiting staff and showing no moral compass. There is no transparency, no accountability, and no genuine care for the people who make the company’s success possible. The culture is toxic, turnover is extremely high, and many talented people leave disillusioned and burned out.
There are no real opportunities for growth, mentorship, or development. Instead employees are treated as replaceable with little recognition for their contributions. Communication is poor, favoritism is rampant, and decisions are made without regard to the impact on staff.
Overall Birch Event Design is not a place where employees can thrive. It is a company that takes far more than it gives and I would not recommend it to anyone who values a respectful, lawful, or supportive work environment.
