Pros

Getting to work with all types of different dogs and getting to really know/bond with them and PTO, that's literally it.

Cons

Oh, where do I begin? 1. Unless you are a manager/supervisor, up in corporate, a trainer or a groomer, you get ZERO respect here. I was a handler AND a walker, and I can say first hand that even though in my opinion, the HANDLERS are the ones with the hardest job, they are treated literally like dirt, along with the walkers. Handlers get blamed for problems that the supervisors are responsible for. It's all one big behind kissing contest at this company. Even if you are a great employee that is great at your job, you probably won't get promoted, since B&B only gives out promotions to literally the laziest, most unprofessional employees. Hard work gets you nowhere here. 2. Management is extremely unprofessional, especially at the GV location. When I was there, one of the supervisors was stealing money out of the tip jar in the front to buy HERSELF food and other things. Most of the managers only have business experience and before B&B, never worked with dogs, and most of these so-called managers are scared to even just go on the play field with the dogs. Managers are also extremely forgetful and even if you request a day off a month in advance, chances are they will put you on for that day anyway. These are the type of managers that will literally bark at you and threaten you if you're on your death bed and have to miss a shift. 3. B&B will hire just about ANYBODY! A lot of the people they hire really are shady people, and I'm not being dramatic at all. Just google "Biscuits and Bath Rape" and you will find articles about an incident that occured a few years ago. Besides hiring rapists and sexual predators, they seem to love to hire people with anger problems, attitude problems, mental illnesses, and NO EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH DOGS!! I'm sorry, but with the kind of unpredictable and poorly behaved dogs that inhabit 98% of the population at B&B, THEY SHOULD REQUIRE AT LEAST 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE HANDLING DOGS!!! I can say from first hand experience, there are AT LEAST 3-7 dog fights A DAY at B&B. 4. Coworkers can be extremely lazy to the point where you are doing like 3 other people's jobs at once. There is A LOT of high school-esque drama that goes on. SOO much crap talking. It feels like you're in middle school again. Managers always pick favorites. It's a very tense, hostile environment. 5. You never get out on time. You may be scheduled 6:30-2:00 or idk 2:00-8:00 but it's never guaranteed, because if the next person is late, well, too bad, you gotta stay until someone comes to relieve you. 6. The uniform is hideous. You are forced to where uncomfortable khaki pants and an ugly blue "Biscuits and Bath" shirt. 7. Be prepared to be breaking up fights MULTIPLE TIMES a day! B&B will let any dog in, aggressive, anxious, old, sickly, unpredictable, door aggressive, you name it! You will literally be on edge and walking on egg shells your whole shift. That's how bad these dogs are here. Having only 1 handler alone on a play field full of 30 plus dogs IS NOT SAFE!!! Yes, dogs will be dogs, but there shouldn't be multiple fights a day, and they SHOULD NOT let aggressive dogs in or allow aggressive dogs that continuously cause fights back in. At smaller, private daycares, dogs get banned if they are bullies or aggressive. B&B refuses to do this because they don't care about the safety of the animals. 8. As a dog walker, you get yelled at if God forbid you're running late, but yet management makes impossible schedules. Like, for example: you could be walking 5 minutes to pick up 1 dog, and then have to walk 25 minutes to get to the next one. You can't win, because clients demand a full 30 minute walk and complain if it's not, but then you got management complaining that you're late. or over hours...It's a vicious never ending cycle. Oh, and a lot of these clients are BEYOND RUDE and nasty. If you complain about them to management, they just expect you to deal with it and have doors slammed in your face. 9. The pay, especially for what you have to deal with working here, is garbage. The benefits they offer are even worse. 10. This job is so incredibly stressful that it will literally send you into a crippling depression. IT ISN'T WORTH IT! It looks like an easy, fun, great job from the outside, but trust me, it isn't. DO NOT WORK HERE!

Pros

Enjoyed the customers and interacting with dogs!

Cons

I am not going into detail about occurences, but I would not bring my own dog to doggy day care or overnight boarding. I do not recommend it for the following: the ratio of shift coverage to boarded dogs; poor interpersonal communication and delegation of tasks by management; the cleaniless of corrals and kennels; and lastly poorly trained associates. I think anyone with sound judgement can interpret what these mean for their dog's care. The pretentious "we are a happy family act" given to new hires and customers are overdue several Academy Awards. When the truth is the morale is poor; and gossip and drama is perpetuated in the workplace. The Company views these dogs more as revenue and numbers as I have reoccuringly witnessed clients opt-out for indepedent walkers or competitors. Pay is not competitive, little to no opportunity for advancement, disorganized supervisors, poor updating of records, high employee turnovers, and lack-lustered management that communicates curt and snippy. "I DO NOT RECOMMEND EMPLOYMENT HERE. I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GREAT JOB BECAUSE OF WORKING WITH DOGS, BUT I HAVE NEVER SEEN A PLACE WHERE BOTH MANAGEMENT AND ASSOCIATES ARE SO MISERABLE!"

Pros

The dogs are great and loving

Cons

I love dogs so I thought this would be a great place to work. A lot of lower level employees like handlers and walkers are awesome but the managers and trainers are horrible. They always cover each other's backs when they're in the wrong to make handlers seem incompetent. They are neglegant to dogs they don't like, sometimes they forget to leave water out for them and push them around its disgusting. They're also horrible at honoring schedules given at time of hire and complain when you say you can't work certain days
