Pros

The pay The professional contacts you can make

Cons

Working here has been one of the worst professional experiences I’ve ever had. Management treats employees very poorly, with extremely rude and even racist behavior. The work environment is toxic and far from respectful. The owner of the company would humiliate his own wife in front of the entire team, which was very uncomfortable and difficult to witness on a daily basis. I would definitely not recommend working here

Cons

I worked in the Miami office and truly wish I had seen a review like this before accepting the position. During my interview, I emphasized the importance of a healthy work environment. I was told, “We’re all like family” — unfortunately, it turned out to be a deeply toxic one. Leadership, including the owner, his wife, and the managing director, consistently displayed unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. The owner once arrived smelling of alcohol as early as 10 a.m., frequently humiliated his leadership team (wife) in front of staff, and once called me and a coworker a deeply offensive name - “fucking cunts” to be specific. There is no real structure or onboarding process — you’re expected to hit the ground running with no guidance, and every day feels unpredictable and tense depending on what is the mood of the owner that day. Despot energy without the power lol. The company is extremely disorganized. Although they claim to have systems in place, nothing is documented or implemented. Communication is poor, and internal messaging platforms like Slack are filled with blame-shifting and lack of accountability. The work culture is fear-driven and emotionally exhausting. And they also expect you to work overtime everyday - like in their contract they add “at a minimum of 40 hours a week” They do not value their employees they only see them as assets to get things done, but there is no employee appreciation, at least in the Miami office. Another serious concern is the company’s insistence that everyone speak English at all times — even during personal conversations. Given that the Miami team is majority Latino, this policy felt discriminatory and, to my knowledge, may be unlawful. They also have questionable hiring and compensation practices. Interns are paid below a livable wage despite working while pursuing advanced degrees. In my case, I didn’t receive a formal employment contract until two months after starting, and pay terms were only portrayed on the offer letter with a “probation” of 6 months. I’ve seen smaller companies be less cheap than Bishop. Overall, the experience had a serious negative impact on my mental health. The team morale is extremely low, and most employees are clearly unhappy. I cannot in good faith recommend this company to anyone.
