Pros

The people are welcoming, and talented. Nice offices.

Cons

Please read the negative reviews on here carefully, in my experience they are an accurate reflection of the reality and one that I ignored. Turnover is extremely high at every level of the organisation. Experienced people are hired and don’t last which perpetuates the fear based culture. There is a reluctance at the top to trust or empower people with the expertise they were brought in for. The result is an inflexible way of working, driven by the need to keep control. Equity is used as a benefit, but in reality people are burned through or removed at pace before they receive it. Poor behaviour is excused, problems are managed - you’ll see that pattern reflected in this review section. People exit quickly and suddenly, and a culture of side conversations replaces any meaningful attempt to resolve underlying problems. Some of the circumstances I’ve seen around people’s exits go beyond poor management into territory that is, frankly, morally indefensible. There is a significant gap between the culture projected externally and what is experienced day to day.

Pros

1. You’ll own and drive work across multiple areas of the business with opportunities to make an impact 2. You’ll get hands on experience leading projects from idea to execution and working director with the Founder 3. You’ll be surrounded by exceptional talented people who will challenge you and help you grow

Cons

1. There’s a high degree of ambiguity and priorities can change very quickly so you need to be comfortable navigating this 2. The team is still evolving and needs more structure and clear processes in place

Pros

Incredibly talented engineering, design and PM team. They have great intermal TA who sell the story well. Blinq had the ingredients to be the next rocketship.

Cons

I recently left Blinq after seeing enough to know this place is rotten at the core. This is a classic case of a founder who should never be running a company. The CEO treats employees with open contempt and zero empathy. Loyalty is non-existent; you’re completely expendable no matter how much value you bring. The culture is pure fear. There’s no leadership, no values, and no actual company culture beyond “ship more code and hope our competitors die.” Jared’s only metric for success is output and destroying competition. Leadership development, work-life balance, and basic human decency aren’t even on his radar. The engineering leadership turnover tells you everything - they're looking for their third Head of Engineering in a year. The last one lasted six weeks. Head of Product - gone, Head of Design - gone, Head of Marketing - gone, all engineering leadership - gone, original OG devs are going. This isn’t a company, it’s a pressure cooker with equity as the only carrot while they burn people out. VC backing from big names like BlackRock and Square Peg hasn’t improved anything — if anything it seems to have fed the ego. If you’re considering joining, don’t. Your mental health and career will thank you for staying far away.
